MEXICA MOVEMENT goes to Phoenix to help in organizing effort against KKK Sheriff Arpaio.
These are photos from our campaign against white supremacy in Arizona. We went out to Phoenix on August 19, 2008 to support our people and the good white people who are organizing to confront the white supremacist terrorist campaigns of Sheriff Arpaio. Arpaio is conducting raids and check points against our people. A second front that we are launching is against white supremacist Russel Pearce who plans to burn books that tell the truth of American history.
PREPARING FOR THE EVENING MEETING AT A LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL
Naui Ocelotl Huitzilopochtli a supporter of the Mexica Movement and Olin Tezcatlipoca, director of Mexica Movement, are helping paste together the posters that Mexica Movement donated to the Mecha protestors and other protestors who are confronting the white supremacist Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Here we were reviewing the dozen different posters that Mexica Movement donated to the upcoming protests against Sheriff Arpaio. Arpaio is a shameless white supremacist who is setting up Gestapo-like check points in our communities. He is forcing our people to prove that they are "legally in the country".
On the left above is a photo of the audience as it gathered that night to well over 500 persons. They were ready to organize against the white supremacists in Phoenix and other parts of Arizona. On the right is Pakal Hatuey, a member of the Mexica Movement. He is holding a Carlos Cordova designed poster to confront another white supremacist, Russel Pearce. This racist monster Pearce wants to outlaw ethnic studies and to ban any books that point out the lands thefts, genocide, slavery, segregation, lynchings, and anything that doesn't make "America" look like disneyland and Mayberry USA.
This is at the beginning before the auditorium got to overflowing. In the photo on the left in the foreground is Mexica Movement member Carlos Cordova who videotaped the speakers throughout the evening. Photo on the right is Olin distributing posters to a representative of the local Mecha.
Above on the left we are giving away posters of different sizes to the people who attended the organizing meeting. It was great to see well over 500 people in attendance. On the right are two women from FREEDOM PEOPLE MAGAZINE.
