These are some photos from our participation in the January 30, 2009 protest in Los Angeles at the Wells Fargo bank in Westwood. We did this protest in a coalition that is supporting the daily and weekly protests taking place in Phoenix against the racist sheriff of Maricopa county, Joe Arpaio. He has been terrorizing our community in Maricopa county with daily raids that add the element of ICE and white supremacits attittueds. If you want to know of future protests email us at so that we can put you on our alerts list. If you are in the Phoenix area please help in the protests.

In this photo you can see the energy of the protestors.
People of different races joined in the protest.

At the Left is one of the posters that Mexica Movement supporter Cuauhtemoc Tlayohuac designed. It was inspired by Arpaio saying that he felt it was an honor to be called a member of the KKK. This is the monster who is terrorizing our people in Arizona. Arizona is the testing ground for the future of our people. We must bring this Nazi down. White Supremacy must end in Arizona, so that it will end on all of our continent. The poster above was designed by Mexica Movement member Carlos Cordova.

Some students from nearby UCLA joined in the protest.

This is one of the handmade signs for the protest.

There was a great turn out for this protest from several organizations and student groups. Let's see when we can do this again.
